Final Stamp Designs

I have settled on my final designs having made only minor colour adjustments to all 3. Im very happy to see how far my work has improved from my first model, the banana. I wasn't sure wether I would enjoy 3D modelling before I started the module but for all of the frustrations of learning 3DS Max I have really enjoyed the module. The steep learning curve of the software and trying to comprehend working in 3D was very difficult at first but after I learnt the basics I slowly started creating my first models. I found I had to start creating my models over and over, I started from scratch on my chambered nautilus 3 or 4 times. But each time I realised what was going wrong and hopefully wont make similar mistakes again. A big problem I had was using far too many polygons in my models which made, amongst other things, using UVW unwrap difficult due to the fact I couldn't stitch together the sections very easily. I often found I was doing things in the wrong way, but I had put too much time and effort in to start again.

Im looking forward to animating the 3D models we create next semester to truely bring them to life. Im very happy to have learnt a new skill and am pleased with the final outcome of my work.
